Port Edwards a Monarch Village

Note from resident Kathy McGrath who has put so much time and effort into working with monarchs and teaching others about this amazing butterfly.

I am thrilled that the first of our 2 signs are up announcing to everyone that Port Edwards is a “Monarch Village”. We are actually the first village in the United States to get this designation. There is one “Monarch City” which is located in Cole Camp, Missouri. This idea is just catching on so hopefully there will be more municipalities jumping on board! I have formed a “Friends of the Monarch” group. If you are interested in joining, just let me know. Thanks to SO many people in the community that have been supportive of this dream of mine!

Thanks for taking the time to write, and your site has some good material on it. We have a border collie and are lucky the way she behaves. Also, I’m on a search for asparagus and will go out to a farm tomorrow and try to find some. Thanks for the encouragement. loren in central Wisconsin

Thanks to you. I’ll work hard to keep your interest, and it’s been fun so far. Thinking of starting another one just like it but about a different topic, but I’ll wait a bit. I get nice comments but never know where they come from. HELP
